Bowing #16

• The best way of dealing with this rhythmic pattern
• At the middle of the bow
• Prepare for this bowing by practicing rapid turnarounds– “Hiccups”: lightning fast down-ups and up-downs; almost a TWITCH followed by a rest
• The 16th is best thought of as a grace note before the long note rather than how the notation looks
• Limit the bow on the first note and stop cleanly on the dot
• Use a tiny stroke for the 16th with strong contact
• Subdivide by 16ths for rhythmic accuracy
• THE most corrected rhythmic pattern
